HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LILY!!

(= Lily's 5th Birthday Party =)

Lily's party was a hit! She dressed up as a fairy and had plenty of fun, as did everyone else.

The jumping castle was a big hit....

....And so were the goslings!

Two adorable little boys playing table-tennis together =) It must have been a difficult match for such short people.

Chelsea was very excited about all the visitors, and had to be tied up out of the way.

Our two youngest children are very unique! Here are two examples.....

Ma (my Mum's mother): 'Lily, can you wink?'

Lily: 'Yes.'

Ma: 'Show me how you do it.'

Lily, closing her left eye: 'This my wink, and it comes with a sneer!'

Jamie says: 'Do your face, Michael'.

This face isn't funny, but it is most adorable!

Their uniqueness makes them cute =)

Lily

Today is Lily's 4th birthday. A few days ago when Mum told her that it would be her birthday soon she said:

"Oh yeah! And then, when I turn 4, I'll be an adult!"

No matter what Mum said, she wouldn't believe that she was still only a little girl. When Mum took her shopping this morning she happened to see herself in a full-length mirror and devastatingly said:

"Mum! Look! I'm not an adult... I'm still little!"

It's always been funny to hear what she comes up with and how she words it!

Lily's Word

Lily is a very studious girl {as you may have seen on my last post about her} and I am trying to get it into her head to put the letters I have taught her into words. The first one I was successful with was "Moo" and you only knew it was a word if you were told first, as it was rather scribbly. So the second one she came up with I took a picture of because I was very impressed with what a three year old can do, if she is feeling compliant.

On Being Studious...

Lily was sent to bed last night, and when checked on she was found with a blue pen, drawing on her leg. On closer inspection, we saw that she had not only been drawing, but was being diligent by writing out her lessons ~ on her leg.


Amidst the scribbles, you might be able to distinguish a few m's and A's.

Helping Hands

This morning Robert and Lily wanted to help out with the jobs by hanging out a load of washing. When we went out to see how they were doing, it was too cute to miss taking photos of and blogging about. Rob would take an item out of the basket and Lily would pass him a peg, Rob would stand on the stool and hang it on the line. Lily would also take a peg and hang it on the bottom of the clothes already on the line.They continued like this until it was done.

This photo was taken on the 4th of the 4th (and it was the 4th photo out of the 4th folder stored on our computer) in the year of 2006. It was Jordan's 8th birthday and in this photo Lily was 5 months old.

20 O'clock on the 34th...

I have a very short story to tell you that passed between Lily and I, just a few weeks ago:

Michael was sitting in his walker, which has dinosaurs and trees on the top and he and Lily were playing with them, and I was sitting by watching. Then Lily suddenly turned to me and said "Rach, this dinosaur lives in a museum!"
I laughed and asked "Who told you that?"
And she replied "You did!"
I said, "Really? I don't remember."
Then she said in a very laid-back sort of way, "Yeah, at 20 O'clock on the 34th!"
It's no wonder I didn't remember!
