Brief and Boring Update

We haven't been doing too much recently because we're still adjusting to Jess and Karli being away, but life is still full!

::Our social engagements of this week were:
Sunday - a couple from Church came over to borrow tools for their new mail box, but ended up staying for dinner, dessert and a board game!
Monday - A friend came for morning tea and brought some yummy baking with her.
Wednesday - Robert had his final appointment with the dentist to reconstruct his front tooth.
Thursday - Mum took the boys and Lily to gymnastics, followed by grocery shopping and they (the boys) had their piano lessons.
Friday - I had my flute lesson and we had four people from church over for dinner.

::Yesterday - Friday - Rob found this cute little bird's nest near our strawberries. We think it may be a wren's nest... any ideas?

::On Thursday we watched "Fantastic Mr. Fox". It was excellent! It is based on a Roald Dahl book, so naturally a bit... different, but it got a lot of laughs out of us. It also had great music, including a "Beach Boys" hit.
::Bek and I are doing an OUA course called "Creative and Professional Writing". I think Bek enjoys it a tad more than I do, I'm not as crazy about writing!
::I have finished the "Human Health" course, which I'm happy to be done with! I haven't received the over-all grade for the course though, but I think I got roughly 80%.
::The full-year course, "Academic Literacy Skills" is nearly completed! I only have one assignment and an essay left.

::Random, yet not random. Today Michael had a fancy to dress in Lily's clothes; when I took photos of him I couldn't say "Smile, Mike!" with an immediate result, I had to say "Show me your teeth." He's cute, as always!

I am excited because...

1). On Monday Jess, Beka and I went to Woden to do clothes shopping. Afterwards we had lunch at McDonald's; we sat down at a table and about thirty policemen had their lunch only a few tables behind us ~ we felt very secure! Afterwards we went to the Chemist and I had my ears pierced. I was so nervous! When the lady put the gun to my ear I tensed myself and then she realised that the earring container was broken, so she had to get another packet. Bother! I wasn't prepared for it when she did do it. Though it didn't hurt too much and my ears are feeling normal again.

2). Yesterday my flute arrived in the mail (it is an early birthday present - Dad and Mum bought if but I put all of my birthday money towards it plus some of the money Kevin kindly gave my parents). It is so shiny and new, I love it! (I would put up a photo but I am having trouble with my camera at the moment - Hopefully I can soon)

3). This afternoon we four girls are going ice-skating with some friends and after we are having dinner out.
