Bowral Gathering

The weekend that just passed was a very sociable one for our family. Namely, on Saturday we went to Bowral for a games day that the vD's hosted, Sunday we went to Church and at 3pm we headed out to Yass for a picnic with our friends, and our friends' friends. This post, as said in the title, shall be of the Bowral gathering.

The first 'game'.

It was a psychological game that the boys did for the entertainment of others. Angus would stand in the middle of the board blind-folded and he would put one hand on Lachlan's shoulder and the other on Dad's. Mr. vD and Nathan would lift the board slightly, Dad and Lach would crouch down while Mr. vD kept yelling out "Lift higher, Nath", "Crouch down now Angus so you don't hit your head on the ceiling" etc. Then Dad and Lach would move away and Mr. vD would say, "Now jump!" and Angus would jump with all of his might and land on the floor, which was only as high in the air as shown in the picture.

It was quite hilarious to watch, because the victim thought that he was very high up, but we knew he was only so high off the ground :P
