Party No. 1 - Karli

Our cousin, Caitlin, had a birthday party (for her 21st - I'll post some pics later) on Karli's birthday, so we knocked Karli forward by a day and had a small, last-minute party for her on Friday night. We had an immense amount of fun, as we always do with special friends
I made Mars-bar cheesecake and Mum made Oreo cheesecake, both were rather delectable

Kathryn and Kitti.

Anna's wonderful photography. Seriously.

Bek and Deb, always 'fighting'
Kathryn and Jess

'Articulate', accompanied by heaps of laughing.

We also played Spicks and Specks and Mafia. When Jamie was the Narrator for Mafia he had the camera and took photos when the Mafia's put their heads up.

When I was killed I took the camera off Jem to see the pics he had taken and the first thing you notice is that Dad and Bek are awake. But not so... Dad is dead (supposedly) and Mike is raising his head.
This game in particular was a lot of fun, and it lasted for quite some time.
That's all for now folks.

Karli = 22

HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY, KARLI!!!

Friday, July 30, 2010

It has ended....

...And they're home again, after a whole six weeks of visiting Europe.

(Michael and Lily have sorely missed them, hence the 'group' photo!)

We're glad they're back =)

Les filles visitent l'Europe

These are the postcards we've received from the girls while they've been over-seas.

Karli posted back a heap of books she had bought in Wales as well as pictures that were taken of her and Jess at Madame Tussauds. They were really awesome!

Chatting with them while they were in Ireland, via Skype.
We bought a French tablecloth....

... and French coffee!!
They're in Paris now and in eight days they'll be home!!! I'm so excited =)

Karli

Today is the day that Karli turns 21. I've got a few photos of when Karli was little up and when she was older.
A few things I would like to share with you about Karli are that:

1- She is the second eldest in our family.
2- She is the first daughter and was the first to be born at home.
3- She is a midwife.
4- She is extremely generous.
5- She loves the colour purple.
6- Her favourite author is Charles Dickens.
7- She is in 8th grade piano.

You can read a bit more about Karli on Mum's blog as well as see a slideshow.

Karli is the one with the pink shirt on and the pegs in her hair :P

Next and final post coming will be of the bush dancing. It may not come for some time because most of the photos were on Sam's camera and I haven't been able to get hold of them yet, but whether it's tomorrow or next year, I will post about it :)

Karli and Mum's Party... (post the first)

On Saturday, the 3rd of October, we held a party to celebrate Karli's 21st and Mum's 40th birthday. We invited their particular friends and around 100 people came. It was held at our house and then we went to the hall up the road for the bush dancing. I shall do three parts of this epic event, the bush dancing will be last :)

Playing Global Village. Mr. A was one of the policemen and he had to arrest the people whom he thought were disobeying the Law. Caitlin was one of those unfortunate victims.
