We're in constant chaos .... and lovin' it!

Life has not been dull around our home.

To begin with: we had a party for Jamie's 14th birthday (see here), and although it was not epic parties still need attending to; you need to decided many things; what style the invites will be, what food to eat, which cake to have, what games to play.... well, I'm sure you've all held a party or two, so you will understand what I mean :)

The Australian Open has been on, and we were quite caught up in it this year. We did not watch every match, but the important ones we did not miss out on! We always enjoy watching it, but this year seemed to be so much more enjoyable.

From the 1st of February we have been back at lessons. Part of my schedule is going for a walk on our property directly after I'm dressed....I think that is my favourite part of the day! The air is so clear and crisp and the sun is only just coming over top of the trees. When I come inside I'm more than ready and eager to start my maths. I have also started practicing my flute scales again, for the first time in many a month. My first lesson with Donna P. starts on Friday; I have been playing a lot so I won't be rusty on my first interview :)

After a long time of not having any new books to read, I have found two which have taken my interest and are being read at the same time. The first one is "Emma" by Jane Austen. Believe it or not, I've never read it before. I started it yesterday afternoon and am up to chapter eight. I love reading it and picturing the faces and scenes from the 2009 movie version (see a survey here). The reason I started that book was because I joined a book club run by a few Christian American girls called "Literary Ladies Discussion Society" (see the side of my blog). Once a month we have to read one book. This month's book was "Emma" and in May we are going to read "Jane Eyre". The other book I am reading at the moment is "War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells.... I like it better than "Emma" so far :)

In early March our friends from Tasmania will be visiting; we haven't seen them since they moved away three years ago and we're all really excited!

Jess, Karli & Anna B. finalised their plans yesterday for their trip to Europe.... yes, it's final! Later on in the year they are going to England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Paris, Singapore, and Dubai (for only three hours but it has a great shopping mall in the airport). Mum has been doing a lot of researching, and I mean a lot! The girls have met up with Anna about six times to talk things over, and they've sent emails back and forth at least fifty times. Fun times!

We also enjoyed watching the Australian Open. The best part was when Fed won.

I didn't know the Davis' were coming for a visit. I'm sure it will be nice to see them again. They wouldn't have seen Michael, nor would you have seen their Michael or Esther.(I assume it's the Davis family that you are talking about). How long are they staying for? Are they staying with you?

Of course, Nana!

*ahem* yes, well... Get Smart does come in handy when you're stuck for a title :P I didn't do 'Kaos' because I wasn't sure if many people would know what it was and think that I couldn't spell, even though it did cross my mind =D

It's always good to see Fed win, Bethany, but I must admit that I was actually going for Murray; no, no, I am not a traitor!! I was going for both of them, but leaning more towards Murray :P
The Davis' are coming, yes. I'm not quote sure how they will stay for, and we have not yet heard where they're aiming to stay. It's going to be great to see them all!
