My 15th

Yesterday was my 15th birthday. We had Nana down from Kingscliff, which made it all the more special. Jess made for breakfast bacon, eggs and hash browns and while we ate everyone around the table shared something that they liked the most about me or memories of when I was little. Afterwards I opened my presents. I received some of the things I have wanted for some time, such as a ceramic seal, a Klutz ring beading kit, the Elizabeth Gaskell DVD "Cranford"and so on. I also received an email and e-card from friends, which was lovely!

The breakfast table setting.

Talking to Maddy, a very good friend of mine.

After spending all afternoon with Nana, Bek and Jess at Federation Square, I got home and went with Mum, Dad and Nana to Manuka for dinner at a restaurant and afterwards we went to the cinemas to see "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas". I've never seen a movie quite like that before, but enjoyed it and I think I came home rather serious.

My ticket.

Fun!
I just turned fifteen two weeks ago.
I heard the Boy in the Striped Pajamas was a depressing movie, though.

That's cool, Earwen, that we're the same age (almost)! 'The Boy in the Striped Pajamas' was rather depressing, but a good movie on the whole!

True, Madd(y). It was Maddy VD, not you. It was very good talking to you last night, as it always is! I received you present today. Thank you SOOOOOO much!!!! It was lovely. I'm wearing the treble clef atm as a necklace. I'll send you photos of the earrings on, too, if you like?!

Happy Birthday again, and that film is very striking. Have you read the book?
