Well, we have taken Cath's advice and now have two trees! We were only able to cut down the second one today but it is at last up and finished. It is the 'boy's tree' so they decorated it, with all the little embellishments that they could scavenge out of the box, it actually looks quite good except for when you walk from the family room into the kitchen - Wow! You can't even think about comparing the two...
Anyway, here are the photos:

We put it in a bucket as seen, then put rocks jammed in a round it, so as it wouldn't tip.

We then had the boys fall to, with Bek's help :)

Dan sat on Dad's shoulders to put the star on the top.

And the angels, baubles and bells. At this stage of the decorating it smelt very strong of pine - just lovely!
