Father's Day

For our family, Father’s Day was a complete success ! A few of us went to church, the others, being sick, stayed home. We had a lovely lunch of bacon and eggs. Dad then opened his many presents, one of them being a 1.2-kilo bag of Cadbury chocolate! We all shared, of course :).
In the afternoon, we watched a movie then had Sweet and Sour pork with fried-rice for dinner.
Dessert consisted of a Chocolate meringue cake.
The older people watched a movie after the little ones had bedded for the night, when done we went to bed happy and content :).

The cake.

The opening.

Emptying the chocolate bag.

The cards and most of the Cadbury.

1.2 kilos of chocolate! That's my sort of present. For our Father's Day Tegan organized the kids to perform a theatrical. After they were in bed we watched "Muppet's Treasure Island". It was so funny.

Same here :)
What sort of theatrical did they do? We also love that movie! I've lost count of how many times we've watched it... It is very funny :)

Tegan originally wanted them to act out the poem "The Man From Snowy River," but we only thought of it the night before so there wasn't time. In the end they memorized poems, quoted Bible verses, and sang songs about Fathers and Father's Day. We didn't have much luck with Erin though.
