Scrummy Cookies!

~Taken from the "Wicked; Sweet Indulgences" cookbook~



::TrIpLe ChOc CoOkIeS::
Prep time 10 mins * cooking time 10 mins




Ingredients:
125g butter, chopped
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/4 cups (250g) firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup (150g) plain flour
1/4 cup (35g) self raising flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/3 cup (35g) cocoa powder
1/2 cup (95g) milk choc bits
1/2 cup (75g) white choc melts
1/2 cup (75g) dark choc melts
(optional: 1/2 cup (85g) raisins. I don't add these)



Method:
1). Preheat oven to moderate. Lightly grease two oven trays.

2). Beat butter, essence, sugar and egg in small electric bowl with electric mixer until smooth; do not overbeat. Stir in sifted dry ingredients, then (raisins) all chocolates.

3). Drop level tablespoons of mixture onto prepared trays, allowing 5cm between each cookie; bake in moderate oven about 10 mins. Stand cookies 5mins; transfer to wire rack to cool.

Our Thanksgiving

We have never celebrated Thanksgiving before, but this Christmas we are going to miss out on our Christmas feast because we will be in Tasmania, so we thought we'd do it for Thanksgiving, along with the rest of the festivities. We had a sort of Christmas theme too, with red and green napkins and cherries and while the food was being prepared we watched a Christmas movie.

Michael was scared, so he put his hands on his face but looked at the TV through his fingers =P

The Punch!

Xenia is a friend from Sydney, who is staying with us for a few days. Here she and Jess are... posing, you might say =P

The table setting. Plain, but festive.

With a blanket of bacon, this turkey was very scrummy!

We went around the table saying what we were thankful for... Rob and Dan gave small speeches.

Then we went outside to 'walk off our dinner', but really to do a treasure hunt for the little kids.

And finally, we had dessert: White chocolate, coconut and raspberry Cheesecake!
