"Old Stlye Hollywood Party" - Girls Night Out

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.” Audrey Hepburn

We had a fun night out at church this week...we dressed-up, played games and watched an old Audrey Hepburn movie!

|:: Sleep-over ::|

Naomi, Lara and Maddy were down for Bek's Zone 3 Laser Tag party and they stayed over on Saturday night - we had a ball making popcorn, watching movies and talking until 2 in the morning.

Maddy and I made the popcorn.... this batch is caramel =)

Zone 3

For Bek's 18th we held a Zone 3 party with some of our friends. We obviously couldn't get photos during the games, but I snapped a few beforehand =)

Bek, Lara and Amy

Lily.

Me and Maddy.

Karli, Naomi, Kathryn, Jess and Deb.

Michael and Mum.

The Lazer Games were amazing! The 10 of us grouped into 3 teams (being: Scarlett, The Blue Bandits and Green Goblins); the first game my team came second (Maddy, Kathryn and I were the Green Goblins) and in our individual scores I came 10th. The second game my team were again in second place, and I somehow managed to come 6th. It was immensely fun and we all really want to do it again!

Sunday Lunch

Emily and Rebekah's birthdays are one day apart, so we had a joint birthday celebration/catch-up with our two familes.

Emma (my cousin's daughter) 'playing' the recorder =)

Lily and Olivia playing hide-and-seek.

Measuring themselves. Believe it or not, Emily is five years younger than Bek. Isn't she adorable!

Of Music

Concerning Hobbits is a beautiful piece of music - Howard Shore, the man who composed it is such a genius!! I have listened to that YouTube clip so much that the 'replay' must be worn out from being hit so often. The beginning instrument is an Irish whistle (Tin whistle, Penny whistle and Irish flute are some of the other names for it) and I was so inspired after listening to the solos that I went on eBay searching for Irish whistles, and I found one.... well, actually I found two. Plus a book of tunes.

I bid on it and after a small amount of conflict with another bidder I won. I won two Irish whistles and a book if tunes for a very reasonable amount.

Jamie wanted to learn too, so that we can do duets once we are able. His is the green one, going down to a C and mine is the red, going down to B flat.
My first eBay purchase was successful = happiness!

~ Parisienne Presents ~

Presents are always exciting, but even more so when they come from another part of the world.

Jess and Karli showered us all with gifts when they got home! I love mine so much =)

A black French bag ~ very pretty!
A black beret ~ rather stylish!
Eiffel Tower earrings ~ exquisite!
A bracelet with a high-heel, handbag, treble clef, 'R', and camera pendant ~ most elegant!
And two Parisienne t-shirts ~ immensely cool!
