What's up...

The last few weeks have been pretty hectic for our family... renovating (it is coming along quite nicely), party organising, cleaning (there's lots of that!) and various other commitments.

Here is a photo story of what we have been up to:

Cake assembling.
Lily marveling at Mum's cooking skills.

Oven cleaning (not one of my favourite things!)

Cool dudes :P
And drawings from the hat as to whom gets to use the NEW toilet, bath and shower first :)
Well, that's all for now; hope you are all in excellent blogging health!

Last Weekend... Part 1

Here is the first post of last weekend. These are the photos taken before and after Beth's party (post of that coming soon!).
Jess at the bus stop, at 11:30 on Friday night.
There's quite a story behind the late arrival :P It was our girls' first time on a bus since I was five, and that was in America and Hawaii, so we were very excited! The bus was to leave at 6pm and arrive at Mossy at 8. It left at the appointed time and less than 5 minutes down the road it had unknown mechanical problems, so it had to turn around and wait for another bus to take us at 7:30. forty-five minutes passed before the second bus arrived.
Ten minutes from Goulburn it too broke down... this time it had a dead battery! So we sat on the side of the highway, surrounded by 50 or so strangers in utter darkness, (save the dim light of a laptop and mobile phones) for one and a half hours. We girls passed the time by playing games and listening to our iPods, which added to the fun.
We were not in the least put out by the hours of delay; it made the bus ride all the more adventurous! So, that is how we arrived at Mossvale :)
Me.
Bek and Karli.
Maddy and I on Saturday morning.
Naomi and Karli at the bus stop, Sunday afternoon.
Bek, Lara and Jess, same place as said above. Okay, so I'm in the process working on the post of Beth's party, which will come before too much time has lapsed. Hopefully tonight :)
Until then I remain your 'faithful' blogger,

The 14th of September means...

...that I announce the winner of the jewellery set! Out of the nine girls who entered one was to be drawn. You're names were written on a piece of paper and cut out, put into the hat and shuffled. Mum picked out one and she read out the name. The name read out was... Hannah!!!!!! Congratulations, dear! If you give me your address I'll send it out to you as soon as possible. If you like you can shoot me an email at jaxelbys18@yahoo.com with your address, so that it isn't published on the web for all to see :)
Thank you to all of you for commenting and participating in this giveaway and a big thank you to Madd for contributing the necklace!

Today is no ordinary day...

Today is my Blog's 1st birthday! It has grown so much over the past year, and I would like to think it has matured a lot in that growing process. A bit like cheese. :P

As some of you may know, this blog was not mine originally. Jess started it up and called it "Jessiesue" and after four posts she decided blogging wasn't for her, and she didn't have enough time. I did three posts for her before she decided to desert it and pass it on. Jess named it for me and I have continued on since. I really enjoyed blogging, and hope to continue for as long as possible! Thank you very much for everyone who has encouraged me through this blogging sphere!
