Carla & Alistair
Last night Carla & Alistair honoured us by paying a visit for dinner. We had such a lovely night talking! I got the camera out in order to share some photos of their visit. Unfortunately, however, most of the pictures I took were a little blurry ~ I'm still trying to work out everything that I've been taught with the modes and warmth ;)

I'd like you to know...
...A little more about me. So, I decided to do this survey. I saw it on several other girls' blogs. Hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think of my answers!
Here they are:
What is your favorite animal?
I have gone through a lot of different ones in my life time (all of fifteen years) and at the moment I don't actually have one. But I do like just about all baby animals ;)
Who's your favorite author?
Wilkie Collins, Charles Dickens, Charlotte Bronte, etc.
What is your favorite instrument?
The flute!
What is your favorite sport to watch?
Synchronised diving and swimming and also gymnastics.
What is your favorite sport to play?
Cricket and soccer (you can tell I have lots of brothers).
What is your favorite movie?
Cranford.
What is your favorite classic literature book?
"The Woman in White."
What is your favorite store?
Hard to say. Perhaps the lollie shop?
Would you rather buy a new book or re-read one?
It all depends on what book we're talking about. In order to read a Dickens' I would have to buy a title I haven't read before, but if there was something by Charlotte Bronte, then I could read it over and over.
Would you rather spend money or save it?
Spend it on beads, save it for my camera. But I do feel less guilty if I save.
Would you rather go on vacation to the beach or the mountains?
The mountains.
Would you rather play an instrument or listen to it?
Both!
Would you rather be indoors or outdoors?
Outdoors if it's raining, but indoors otherwise.
Would you rather have your room painted lime green or purple with pink dots?
Hahah! Purple with pink dots ;P
Would you rather live in a cave or in a tree house?
I feel safer on the ground, so a cave most certainly.
Would you rather have a cat or a dog?
A kitten!
Would you rather host a get-together or go to one?
Go to one.
Do you have any siblings?
Eleven.
How many times have you moved in your life?
I think five.
How long have you been a Christian?
Three years.
Christmas or Thanksgiving?
Considering we don't live in America I don't know what Thanksgiving is like, so Christmas it must be!
Words or pictures?
Both.
Iguanas or turtles?
Turtles.
Randomness or sense?
Depends on my mood.
Books or magazines?
Books.
Summer days or winter nights?
Winter nights!
Screaming monkeys or running bears?
Ummm, neither!
Jane Austen or Charles Dickens?
Charles Dickens. I don't like Jane Austen (sorry Madd!)
Scotland or Ireland?
Scotland by far!
Running or walking?
I'm too un-fit for running, but I prefer walking anyway!
Now, everyone feel free to also do this, and let me know if you do !

Photographs
Once again, I must apologise for slacking with my blog. I haven't had much time at all for it.

All of the girls' feet.
One of the things that has kept me busy is a photography course that I am attending. It is for home-schoolers and very in depth! Our teacher is mainly showing us how the camera works with apertures and the like. I have found out so many things with our camera that I never knew were on it (Example 1: taking pictures black and white. Example 2: changing the ISO according to the darkness/brightness. I never even knew that there were such things as an ISO!)
In 2 weeks we have three papers to fill out, taking 15 photographs. 5 with a dark background, 5 with a light background and 5 in shade. I have three photos left to take in dark background. Well, here are a few of the shots I've taken for practice that I thought you may like. The top one was taken on the way to the class and the second was taken during.

Twisted Wire Jewellery
For my birthday I received from Madd, my dear friend, two pendents. One was an 'R' and the other a treble clef, and also a pair of gold love-heart earrings.
She made them herself out of twisted wire. Madd has incredible talent. I recommend you to check out her blog here.

My 15th
Yesterday was my 15th birthday. We had Nana down from Kingscliff, which made it all the more special. Jess made for breakfast bacon, eggs and hash browns and while we ate everyone around the table shared something that they liked the most about me or memories of when I was little. Afterwards I opened my presents. I received some of the things I have wanted for some time, such as a ceramic seal, a Klutz ring beading kit, the Elizabeth Gaskell DVD "Cranford"and so on. I also received an email and e-card from friends, which was lovely!

Talking to Maddy, a very good friend of mine.
After spending all afternoon with Nana, Bek and Jess at Federation Square, I got home and went with Mum, Dad and Nana to Manuka for dinner at a restaurant and afterwards we went to the cinemas to see "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas". I've never seen a movie quite like that before, but enjoyed it and I think I came home rather serious.
