1). On Monday Jess, Beka and I went to Woden to do clothes shopping. Afterwards we had lunch at McDonald's; we sat down at a table and about thirty policemen had their lunch only a few tables behind us ~ we felt very secure! Afterwards we went to the Chemist and I had my ears pierced. I was so nervous! When the lady put the gun to my ear I tensed myself and then she realised that the earring container was broken, so she had to get another packet. Bother! I wasn't prepared for it when she did do it. Though it didn't hurt too much and my ears are feeling normal again.
2). Yesterday my flute arrived in the mail (it is an early birthday present - Dad and Mum bought if but I put all of my birthday money towards it plus some of the money Kevin kindly gave my parents). It is so shiny and new, I love it! (I would put up a photo but I am having trouble with my camera at the moment - Hopefully I can soon)
3). This afternoon we four girls are going ice-skating with some friends and after we are having dinner out.

Lily's Word
Lily is a very studious girl {as you may have seen on my last post about her} and I am trying to get it into her head to put the letters I have taught her into words. The first one I was successful with was "Moo" and you only knew it was a word if you were told first, as it was rather scribbly. So the second one she came up with I took a picture of because I was very impressed with what a three year old can do, if she is feeling compliant.

A Trip to the Optometrist ~ and the result!
Last week Dad, Mum and Rob went to the Optometrist, as they had all been having various problems with their eyes. Today they got their glasses and I couldn't resist taking a photo of them all, they looked so good!
I didn't think Rob could get more dashing than he already is...

On Being Studious...
Lily was sent to bed last night, and when checked on she was found with a blue pen, drawing on her leg. On closer inspection, we saw that she had not only been drawing, but was being diligent by writing out her lessons ~ on her leg.

Amidst the scribbles, you might be able to distinguish a few m's and A's.
(She didn't know we were taking a photo of her leg)

She was happy to pose for this one.

Helping Hands
This morning Robert and Lily wanted to help out with the jobs by hanging out a load of washing. When we went out to see how they were doing, it was too cute to miss taking photos of and blogging about. Rob would take an item out of the basket and Lily would pass him a peg, Rob would stand on the stool and hang it on the line. Lily would also take a peg and hang it on the bottom of the clothes already on the line. They continued like this until it was done.

Caramel Tarts
While we were away our Great Auntie Carmel showed us four girls how to make her popular caramel tarts. Today I gave them a shot and they proved to be such a success (though I do say so myself) that I thought I would share them with you. I highly recommend that you make them!
The method is very brief, but I hope you get it!

Our time away...
At the beginning of February we traveled up to Queensland to be with Grandad in his last days. You can read about Grandad on Mum's blog.
We arrived at the house we were staying at on the 3rd after enduring a 15 hour drive. It was a wonderful two storey house on a working farm in Cudgen, with 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large dining table big enough for our family and some amazing scenic views.
One very happy baby, ready to get out of the car.
This shot of Mt. Warning is just amazing!
Three little frogs...
...They were plentiful. This is one that managed to get into the house!
Kicking up the water!
